Band Pipes and Pints that took a break earlier this year, are getting back on stage. In celebration of their comeback, the band will play Prague’s Lucerna Music Bar on the 2nd of February. This concert will kick off the Mighty Božkov Tour, a string of concerts taking place in Czech ski resorts, the first half of which will be headlined by Pipes and Pints.
In February, Pipes and Pints will be back playing live shows after a break that lasted several months: "After much deliberation we all agreed we did not want to throw away what we have achieved together. We came to the decision to continue in the original line-up" says Vojta, the band’s vocalist and bagpiper.
The grand return of the prodigal sons of punk rock at the Lucerna Music Bar will be supported by performances from two other bands. Receiving tumultuous ovations after their last show in the Czech Republic, the UK-based combo Buster Shuffle will deliver a playful mix of ska, rocksteady, and 2-tone. The night will begin with a performance by the winner of the Bandzone Showcase 2011 competition, a band called Wild Tides. Injecting a healthy dose of unruly fury into their shows, this band is sure to surprise with a Pulp Fiction-styled surf rock.
After the opening show in Prague, The Mighty Božkov Tour spring edition will rampage through Czech ski resorts. For shooting our next video, we decided to use one of our oldest tunes, Different Way. The name itself gives some insight into what this song is about. Through our Different Ways we try to represent past and present generations and pay tribute to the Ways of our friends, collaborators, and fellow musicians on the road. Different Way is a big Thanks! to anyone who is doing something for the alternative scene, whether in the video or not. By attending shows, supporting bands, writing, creating spaces for people to meet each other, organizing events, running a label, etc., we keep it alive. What and who you see in the video is the Prague scene in all her beauty and we are fuckin proud of everyone in it. Hey UK mates, we have a bad news. Authorities didnt let us go through borders to UK.
They had a problem with our singers double citizen ship. He is both US and EU citizen and we never had a problem with that even when authorities checked. But that depressed boy at the desk decided they will consider him American and not letting him earn a penny in UK. We proved them with 3 documents he is wrong the but decision was final. Even when his colleague was convincing him to let it go, only for 3 days.

Thanks for first 2 great shows of our tour, iiihaa. Here is a short report from our just passed Mighty Jäger Tour 2010 its in czech and a bit in englist with some wild live shootage.
Our last tour in March was so intense and full of great shows that none of us doubted another tour would come soon. And here it is, our second European tour in 2010! It's been an amazing year and we can't wait to see all you beautiful, wild people, friends, and supporters again. We will be really happy if you join us once again at one of our 23 shows and we can guarantee you that if you give us only half of the same energy as la...st time, we will give you our all. You can also look forward to a few new songs in our special set that we have ready for a new recording next year.

By band members and fans long awaited full length album of Pipes and Pints is finally in sight! The band will be working all July and August in several studios, interrupted only by rotten remains of the real life, and parties and festivals at the weekends. In charge of recording and mixing is Tomas Koulič, a goodfella who pulled the strings of Ep 2008 a lot and his enthusiasm for the sound and work on the tracks is impressive. With a great portion of champaigne or another disgusting spirit, the release will be celebrated by the end of October.
